PRP SKIN TREATMENTS
For Stunningly Beautiful Skin at Any Age
PRP procedures use your own plasma to prompt your body to produce new, younger tissue that rejuvenates skin anywhere on the body.
Popular for treating:
Under-eye Crepiness & Dark circles
Fine lines, wrinkles & Pores
Age, stress, lifestyle, and weather all take a tole on our skin. Many of us develop imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, under eye circles, acne scarring, stretch marks, and an overall decrease in our skin's luster.
In an era of airbrushed, digital perfection, concerns like these can easily make one feel self-conscious or embarrassed. Certain prescription creams, facials, and peels can be moderately effective, but many of these options only penetrate the top, dermal layer of our skin, and require daily usage.
Medical doctors have developed an extremely versatile treatment using Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) that addresses all of these problems.
PRP procedures use your own plasma to prompt your body to produce new, younger tissue that plumps and smooths your skin. PRP treatments increase collagen to dramatically improve the tone and texture of your skin, even treating acne scars and Melasma discoloration. PRP injections combined with micro-needling of your PRP can also improve hair quality and density on the scalp. Because the process uses only your own PRP, there are no side effects, risks of infection, or tissue damage. The gorgeous results of PRP procedures last one to two years and beyond.
Did you know that PRP is also effective in reversing bothersome hair loss?
What to Expect:
Your specialist will perform an ultra-fast blood draw (less then 10 seconds). Next, the vial is spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, platelets, and the red blood cells. The platelets are then re-infused with the plasma, giving us PRP, a serum rich in growth factors and cytokines. The PRP can then be applied topically to the skin during a microneedling treatment or injected directly to the area of concern.
Microneedling, or Collagen Induction Therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure involving extremely fine needles. Tiny, controlled punctures create channels that stimulate collagen and help to lessen fine lines, diminish wrinkles, fill in acne scarring, and improve overall texture. The process tingles but is not painful, and prior to the treatment, the patient is numbed with a topical agent.
The patient's The patient's face is then “painted” with the growth factors which soak into the tissue for further stimulation. The procedure takes about 30-45 minutes to complete and the micro punctures are "open" for about four hours after the procedure, so patients can be sent home with the remaining PRP to apply again at home. Most patients leave the office looking like they have a mild sunburn. The day after a PRM procedure, one might experience mild redness and flaking of the skin that can be easily covered with cosmetics. Complete healing usually takes between 1–5 days.
